Okay, fabulous ladies, I think I figured out what I did wrong. After you click "publish comment," you are sent to the Gmail page to log in. When you have signed in, you are redirected back to the blog and evidently you have to click "publish comment" again to complete the process. FYI, I was not required to verify I was not a robot after my first comment posted.....perhaps having a valid Gmail account means never having to prove you're human??
With Sherry's help, here I be....YAH! This is wonderful to have our own little spot to make our FAB Four magic. Thank you, Candy, as I know this will be interesting with my fav peeps aboard.
Sending waves of good wishes to the fabulous ones.
Happy to see Ms. AgyJane has navigated in. Still watching for Deni G to appear, I'm sure everyone would welcome an update!! Three cheers for Candy's perseverance.
Did anyone catch Cruz on Colbert's Late Night? First time I ever saw Stephen have to calm booing. Cruz epitomizes the hypocrisy of the knuckle-draggers. Evidently it is no problem that a GOP presidential candidate is actually definitely undeniably NOT born in America, but Obama is not an acceptable Hawaiian born American because he had a foreign-born father.....well, that and the color of his skin, of course.
I keep trying to ignore the political insanity, alas I must have masochistic tendencies. Perhaps my satellite will fall from the roof and I will be saved?? :-}
Yes, I saw that. Duh, isn't it a shame that we can no longer depend on MSM to ask the tough questions to these clowns. Maher, Stewart and Colbert are the best and most dependable. Trump is on tonight and that should be a humdinger!!
Like you, ma sherrie, I am trying to ignore the insanity but, at least, I'd rather see it through the eyes of my favorite people as are the above.
Let's hear it with a round of applause for Candy (Sweet Betsy) for getting us together here in a place that we can share thoughts of like minds ( dare I say fabulous?) Since the old days of WOW, this group is very special to me.
I am hoping to see some "Toes" pop up through the sand and all will be complete.
Oh my gosh-I couldn't figure out how to see the comments, so I've sitting here worried something bad had happened. Seriously, how silly is that.
I thought you guys would be able to post as well as comment. I will try to figure this out a little more. So glad we have a place to talk. Hope Deni can find it.
Colbert is doing us a service exposing these people for the shallow power seekers that they are. So glad we have him. I taped the Trump Show, will watch in a bit.
Hahahahahaha...that is so funny, Sweet Betsy! I am having a little computer problem today so will make this short. Today is a special day...the birthday of the Madame of Cackleberry Farm. I hear that she is celebrating with a special lunch with her brother. Hope she gets on here today to tell us all about it. BTW, Elizabeth Warren is on Colbert tonight!!!
Hmmm I posted a few more times. But they don't appear to be here. Ah well.
The FABS is such a great name. Check it out: A for Agy; B for Sweet Betsy' S for Sherry. Unfortunately I can't think of how to link the F to me. I was so excited when I realized the letters alligned, untip I realized I didn't. haha~
It is so great to be on the receiving end of your lovely wishes, thank you one and all. I have had a most excellent birthday and it is of no moment that my number grew. We are all just ageing to perfection - that's our story and we are sticking to it....right girls??
As our AgyJane noted, I spent the whole day with my beloved brother. He fed me, made me have a drink, (at NOON no less) amused me, made me GAMBLE, and best of all, I have now met his delightful lady friend. I have never seen him so relaxed and happy, which was the greatest birthday gift I can even imagine.
I am looking forward to our political discussions as we all watch the side show now in progress. Did everyone watch Colbert filet Trump? (Don't deny yourself too long, Candy, it is a delicious event.) The pathetic bag o' hot air did not even know what hit him. I am so grateful to have Colbert back. I know we all rejoice his return, he helps keep us sane.
Much love and +~~ to all y'all, and thanks again for adding your light to this extraordinary autumnal equinox that marks my birthday.
Demi- you are the fabulous in the Fabs!! Of course. Where did your posts go? I have to admit I am a complete novice at this. But we will go forth- undaunted!!
So undaunted it is as I continue along my merry way!!!Yes, I can.
Delighted to hear of the wonderful BD lunch Sherry enjoyed with her brother and his new love interest knowing that seeing him this happy made her day. Drinks at noon? There are times and places that all things work and this is totally dauntless! Yay..
Loved Elizabeth Warren on Colbert last night. The system is rigged and she and Sanders are the only two to admit it. I think she should stay right where she is for the long haul as she can get more done. Clinton is a liar and the only thing she REALLY believes in is wanting herself elected POTUS. That Trump is leading the GOP tells us the dire situation we are in. I like Joe Biden very much but think that Sanders may have a better chance once more people learn of him and hear his message as he is as close to Warren as it gets. But, the people in this country have been so "dumbed down" that I worry about it all. Can hardly wait for a democratic debate. I will vote democratic...just hope Hillary is not at the head of the ticket! We are doomed as a nation unless there are sweeping changes. That is my story and I am sticking to it!!!
As to this aging gracefully thingy, I am trying but don't hold me to it. I may be getting crazy here shortly and hope you still love me...hahahahahahaha. However, crazy can be fun.
I invited you all to be authors and think if you accept then anyone can do a new post. I can try to do a be post daily, but any ideas about what would be interesting would be helpful. I posted the Hedges article, but it's pretty long and heavy.
We can make this what we want! We will figure it out.
I agree that Warren and Sanders are probably the only candidates that aren't bought and sold. But I think we will end up with Bush and Clinton. DeJavu all over again, as Yogi would say!
Five friggin' toes! The Fab in fabulous! haha I think I have the vestiges of an idea forming. We can't be sure, it might just be that I'm excited because I made delicious coffee today. And really who does not get excited by that?
The Pope visit: fascinating. The conservative Catholic Supremes were a no-show at the Pope speech. Also fascinating. The House has been de-bonered or de-Boehnered whichever suits your fancy. Didn't see that coming. And this has all dragged me back a bit into the completely bonkers world of election madness. Not a happy place to be. Definitely messes with one's sense of... absolutely everything. There's long way to go and I can't image it won't get crazier and uglier. I'm saving my brain for chocolate truffles. They do require one's full attention, do they not?
Onward! Upward! Never Give Up! Never Surrender! ~F
We (the world) just need something to feel hopeful about. I thought the multi-religious service at the 9/11 memorial was pretty impressive. At least he is talking about some big issues.
I'm finding it hard to work up much enthusiasm for this next election. Ever since Colrado choose Corey Gardner over Mark Udall, I have lost faith in the system and how people get manipulated.
I think Trumps popularity is a sign of a wide and deep disaffection in the country. People seem willing to cheer for anyone who reflects their anger and who promises to fix things by punishing "the other". Reminds me of Germany when the Nazis took over. And the oligarchs are happy as long as they make money! I don't know-I guess we will see.
Can't wait to hear about your idea, DemiToes.
Hope you are all well. Cooler weather coming next week!!
Happiness is having a papal visit who is truly a man for the times of today. This has been a joy to behold. He speaks to the big issues of our lifetime without reserve and people are listening, I think. The system is not working and is rigged as Warren said. My hope is that people listen and there is no Clinton vs. Bush. Either or, it will be the same.
Yah for cooler weather! This has been a scary summer for forest fires and water conservation and I have lost plants as I know all of you have. This is why global warming and real issues to all of us must be addressed as the pope is doing. I am feeling "the Bern" and think his time has come. Maybe I am naïve but so be it. Hope is hope and that is what I am looking for. I even think that Boenher feels it.
All else is coming together as the gorilla now has an appt. with his surgeon in Portland next week with surgery to follow at the end of the week. This will make us whole again.
This blog was such a good idea....many thanks to you who thought it up and made it happen!! I love reading your reflections and suspect that we will work together to help keep each other grounded. Either that or we could all flee to (Western) Canada and start a commune?
Gonna get ugly.....oh yes it is. I was very happy to see the House "de-boned" too, but we can all be certain that there is another nutball lurking in the queue. ~~sigh~~ What we need is a Sanders/Warren ticket to throw some genuine democracy back into the equation. (A girl can dream?)
I very much enjoyed Pope Frank's gracious loving rip on our do-nothing legislators and greedy corporate entities. There is some satisfaction at the mere thought of having them squirm. Their money and power can't buy off the dirty truth nor can it help them shoot down this messenger.
When things slow down a little I will attempt to educate my tech-challenged self about blogging skills. Here is a stab at sharing a link:
You may be on to something with a commune in Western Canada, Sherry. As you say, a girl can dream!! I have often thought of escaping to Canada when things get unbearably embarassing to admit that I live in the USA. But some of my Canadian friends tell me that under Harper it's not much better there.
Agy, such good news about the gorilla. I hope this makes all the difference. Keep us posted on things as it goes along. I agree the Pope is a person to be truly admired. Real courage and conviction to his principles (even if I don;t agree with all of them). I felt a sense of joy and peace just having him here. And what stamina-wow!! I thought of all of those hypocrites squirming, too. Lovely image-makes my heart glad, perhaps not in a way Papa Frank would condone, but it's all about redemption. Right??
Thanks for the link Sherry, I will check it out. Can you all see the new posts I made? Not sure what you see, compared to me. The one about the retriever brushing her teeth is pretty cute.
I too am grateful that the Fab Four are back in touch. It is going to make this world a better place for me and maybe the election season will be fun. Maybe???
A commune in Western Canada! Oh yes! I vote for Vancouver Island.
Making the election cycle fun, that sounds like a plan I could use. I hope the weather is cooler here soon. It's 95 these days. But really, for some reason, it's not too bad at all.
I love the Repubs saying Francis isn't a scientist so he should not talk about climate change. Ignoring that fact that he does have a science degree, by Republican political logic, no Repub should ever talk about anything other than how much they despise the earth... and the humanity residing upon it. It's their only area of expertise.
I love that link Sherry! Soooo adorable and so perfect. I'm gonna bookmark that for days when I need to watch it.
Agy, is teh Gorilla feeling craptastic again? I be sending light and the love, which is a constant.
This is so fun! I am quite happy!!! Yay! to happiness!
Oh hey, no 'prove your not a robot'. That's a first for mwa. Opps, I spoke too soon.
Yeah to the FABS...this is so fun and a commune on Vancouver Island, I'll vote for that! If impossible, this to be the next best thingy!
The CW's link tis happiness that curls ma lips and I have it under favs to lift spirits when searching for the perfect zoo world. My cockatiels flew the coop last night but Lollipop made it to the opposite side of the house and landed on my chest at 1 am to alert me. She kissed me all over and we went in search of Webster and Willa. They were still in the kitchen awaiting rescue. They truly wanted back in their large comfortable cage so all was right with the world. I trust Lulah and Dudley with them but not sure about Bubba so we may have dodged a bullet!
Am lovin the humanity of Pope Francis. He seems to have lived a fuller life of most Popes and even has a masters in the Sciences. The repugs don't even seem to be aware of this when they criticize him on climate change. The stupidity continues to overwhelm!!! Sanders is so in touch and I do feel hope that his run is not for naught. I hear they are planning a huge march on Washington for next Sept. to put him front and center. As more people hear him, the better it is and this is showing in the polls. Hillary doesn't have a chance as no one trusts her and it is going to get worse, much worse. If she is the nominee, the GOP will be ready for the slaughter from 15 years ago til today and relishing the moment. Biden is a good man but there is no way for him to win and I doubt he is emotionly ready. Think about a debate with any of the GOP and Sanders....
My Gorilla has an appt. with the surgeon in Portland on Monday and we can't wait. I think an operation is in the near future but hoping that something can be done to relieve pressure on Monday. Surgery will probably happen at the end of next week. We are barely holding on here so send healing light as we need it ever so much. Just so glad that I have the FABS with me and think this blog is a wonderful thingy, ya know?
Oh Ms. AgyJane, I imagine your gorilla is virtually vibrating as a result of the cloak of positive energy (+~~) that surrounds him (AND his surgeon). These are challenging times, please know that you are not alone as you tackle them.
I watched some fine Pope messages today, the sermon in the prison was especially inspirational. I finally understand the philosophy behind the washing of feet. Gonna be sorry to see that fine man depart our soil. May his messages continue to resonate and give us hope for the future.
It is a gorgeous day here in Oregon, I am serenaded by gentle wind in the chimes, and the sweet bok-bok from the chicken girls. I watched a green egg being laid earlier, always seems like a small miracle. A little perk-perking, (akin to a feathered coffee pot) a little pushing, and finally, the grand cackleberry announcement: BA-GAWK!
I pulled this message box up ages ago and was distracted by a phone call. Guess I will prove I am not a robot, post, and see who dropped in while I was yakking it up with my old pal from Seattle. Be well, all you fabulous women.
Oh Sherry, your poetic report on Oregon makes me miss it so much! It is so rich and beautiful there. I drove all about the countryside in May on the day we couldn't meet. Had lunch in Hillsboro-so many good memories there. Thank you. I love hearing about where you all are and how the weather is and all that detail of life. Then I can form a mental picture. Wonderful.
We couldn't see the Blood moon last night because of clouds. Just kind of a red glow in the sky to the East. The nights have been wonderfully cool here and I intend to enjoy the last of the warm weather, cause soon enough it will be snowing. Hope cooler weather is soon headed your way, Demi-Toes. I missed hearing about your garden this summer.
Agy-good thoughts, healing light and much to love to you and the gorilla this week. I hope that this surgery is the answer and it will make life so much better for Curt. I can just imagine you chasing birds around in the middle of the night. Good that you have a dog watch set. They are wonderful friends all these lovely creatures we share our lives with.
Daisy graduated from puppy training on Saturday-not sure that I did, but we will just practice as best we can. She is getting big, 5 mos and 40 lbs; a huge gift in my life.
I will miss Papa Frank. It does feel like there is a big void with his leaving. We are left with the insanity of these people who seem to gather all the media attention. I miss John Stewart to remind us of how silly they all are and make us laugh about it.
Dear dear Candy, I am very pleased that you enjoyed that little slice of Oregon heaven. I had to chuckle about puppy class. Kizzy and I attended a 10 week course, the instructor thought I was too protective, I thought she was too permissive (Kizzy was the tiniest tadpole in the pond) BUT....my girl did learn one adorable maneuver (***SPIN***) that made it all worthwhile. Our cherished furbabies want to please us, it is win/win when we help them learn how to do so. I hope you will be providing progress reports and posting more photos of the Daisy who is lighting up your life?
AgyJane girlfriend, we have been with you in spirit all day. I am aware of the stakes and so hopeful that the surgeon had answers and solutions to get the precious gorilla back on his feet. I had to drive to Hillsboro for a follow-up appointment with my oral surgeon (healing well....happy moi!) so I had plenty of time to HURL potent bolts of +~~ at Portland, and hurl I did. Please keep us posted as time allows? The Fabs have power and we know how to use it.
Mrs. Deni G, my gracious guru and cyberpal, I have been creatively visualizing cool breezes wafting all around Dragonfly Manor, soothing you, keeping you comfortable.....and caressing the veggies to hasten your harvest. Yes, gardening is creative and pleasurable but damn it, we have a right to expect some fruit for our labor too, eh? :-}
I KNOW we are all celebrating the huge news that Shell has called a halt to drilling the arctic. We have dodged that bullet, and avoided yet another nail in our planet's coffin. Does anyone doubt that the Pope's visit continues to resonate? WOW!!
Hope the news was good for the gorilla and Agyjane and relief will soon be on it's way. Good thoughts headed your way! Good news on your healing, Sherry. Some days it feels like a battle just to keep even with time!
Shell throwing in the towel on Arctic drilling is great news. These dinosaur energy companies are a lodestone around our neck. They are hanging on for dear life and I am grateful for those folks who are working so hard to throw them off or drag them into the new century.
The battle for the new Speaker will be interesting to watch. I doubt much will change under McCarthy, who seems to be the favorite. The right-wingers don;t seem to realize that they are dragging their party down with their obstinate refusal to accept facts. What is this awful strain of boldface lies that run through some of these folks (Cheney, Fiorina, McConnell-just a few). I think Boehner had to leave to save his soul! Thank you Pope Francis for your words of wisdom.
Had some rain yesterday and more coming our way. Thank you Pacific Northwest for this welcome change. I'm trying to figure out how to post pictures here. I think I have to download them from my phone to access them for posting. Don't know-but will keep working on it.
Thinking of you all and wishing health and peace everyday!
Well, Sweet Betsy, I cannot see the pic...why is that? Anyhow, I am so proud that Daisy graduated with honors and received a gift for her efforts. My hope is that she uses her education to best advantage. My Bubba did a great job in class and uses what he learned when he is outside on leash around others but, at home, it is a totally different thingy. He acts as though he has never heard the word "NO". Go figure....If someone can figure out why I cannot see the picture, let me know.
It has taken me a day to absorb the event with the gorilla's surgeon. He has another abycess in the intestines which is typical of crohns and these have been going on since last Christmas. This is a new one. The surgeon did an in office procedure to have it drain along with pain pills and antibiotics. If this doesn't do it he will have to have surgery. It is a wait and see thing. The two main drugs for this condition are remi8caid and humera which are no longer working for him. We may be in a different stage which is not good. I am beside myself with worry and anxiety. I do think that he now with a great doctor and surgeon which is some relief but not enough to calm my fears as to what could happen. Please bare with me as I go through this and know that we both appreciate your caring and all of the white light you are sending to us.
This is a time that I need to find a reason to laugh as that is the best medicine. So, I have said this and it is time to move on and celebrate the good and fun things that make life fun and worthwhile. The Fab Four have always been masters at this so keep it coming!!!!
I wish with all my heart that you and Curt weren't going through this. I am glad that you have confidence in the surgeon that you have. All my good thoughts and prayers are going out to you two. Hopefully the procedure and drugs will help. I've had two good friends who struggled with Crohns; they both ended up with surgery and it made a huge difference in their condition. But I know surgery is still not an ideal solution to health problems and scary to go through.
We are here for you anytime!! Hugs to you both! Please keep us posted.
Maybe if you refresh your screen the photo will show up. I wish I knew more about this stuff, but I am a rookie. I will email it to you, so you can see it regardless. Daisy is like that too. At home she can be a complete nutcase, but seems to be absorbing some of the lessons for public consumption. She is a people dog, so tends to get a little crazy when someone wants to pet her and sit is the last thing on her mind. Ah-the joys of puppyhood!!
If you want a good laugh watch some of the coverage of Kevin McCarthy's "foreign policy speech". OMG-we are in such trouble when this is the best we can do. The man is a complete moron. Sorry-hate to use name-calling, but this guy will be third in line to the Presidency!! how sad! I'm not watching much national news anymore, but caught a bit of Rachael last night and she covered it very thoroughly.
Be well all! So glad to read everything you write.
Oh mercy, AgyJane, the challenges continue. Some days it is SO much more difficult to view that glass as half-full than others, eh? We all continue to deliver huge doses of white light and hope for the best. You and your precious gorilla deserve some peace and comfort, may the new surgeon provide the health care that will make that happen!! I can remember vividly - even though it has been a decade now - that during my darkest hours I could reach out and access the love that surrounded me. That access helped soothe my troubled soul, may it do the same for you and Curt.
I also watched Rachel's revelations about the moron who may be third in line, Candy. She always manages to spin a bit of humor into her reporting, but this nutball is not easy to keep in humorous perspective. I suppose we could be grateful that he would be third in line as opposed to the dangerous airhead McCain wanted to be in second position? McCarthy is Sarah without the lipstick.
I was so terribly disappointed to learn that Pope Frank met - in secret, go figure - with that miserable woman from Kentucky. (Can't bear to type her name.) I have been trying to convince myself that he was hornswaggled by some crap-head Bishop who wanted to tarnish the Pope's otherwise uplifting message. Gag me!!
Where oh where is our Deni, she of light and music and wit and wisdom? Sure hope all is well deep in the heart of Texas.......eagerly awaiting verification. :-}
I am off to stroll the local farmer's market in McMinnville now, always an earthy and thoroughly delightful experience. Wish I could take all of you along to sample the sights and sounds and scents and flavors.
Oh good grief, AgyJane......that has happened to all of us at one time or another. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr SO FRUSTRATING!! (Perhaps all the white light is creating interference?)
Allow me to share the e-insurance I use for messages: pull up an e-mail pane, compose your message there, then copy it, click on the comment page and paste your comments. If the (expletive deleted) system eats your posting, you can just click and paste again since your words are stored in a mail pane for safekeeping.
Looking forward to hearing from you, hoping the treatments are working like magic.
I'm trying to get used to opening up the pute again. I'd all but abandoned it of late, sorta sick ta death of the mad insanity, the hatred. Not the pute's fault and not opening it doesn't change anything. It still goes on and on. So I just pretend. But I am ovaring-up cause I do not want to miss the Fabs! Especially now. An oasis of excellence!
Agyrose of the world, how are you doing? How is teh Gorilla doing? Love love, light and roses all around you and in your hearts!
Oh the puppies! And Candy o course with an actual puppy who is sooooo cute! Kizzy cousins. haha!
The weather may be turning cool. Only 82 today. practically snowing. My gawd where are my furs?
Happy meeting with the brother and his woman friend. It is wonderful to see people happy. I thought about what I would want if I could have 1 thing, 1 trait, 1 possession. What would be that one thing? I decided it would be Happiness.
Sherry I love your insurance idea! After it ate a few of my posts, I decided I would highlight and copy my posts before I hit publish. But now I realize that I didn't get that my posts disappeared until well after I posted. So I'm not sure my idea will work. I may just switch to your idea. That sort of thing takes discipline for me. Not my strong suit. I reside in the valley of good intentions. haha!
I can't believe that we have another mass shooting in this country. But guns aren't the problem- oh no!! This guy had thirteen guns; why does anyone need thirteen guns? It is just so sad that there are so many angry young men. And Jeb Bush's response"stuff happens"! Ok!!
Do the 1% not understand that these problems effect everyone? Their net worth isn't going to keep them safe. Or buy them clean water and air, when it's all gone. And none of the Repubs have any solutions for any of these social issues and they can't connect their ugly campaign speeches, filled with hate, with these people going nuts and on rampages.
Hope you are all doing ok. Sending white light, Agy; hope the meds are helping. Stay safe and well!!!
Okay, on the important parts....Daisy is a doll and it is obvious that she is bringing love and joy to our Sweet Betsy. Our small and large pups and kitties have this power and joy abounds!
If this post flies into cyberspace, I will try to use Sherry's wise words and help so that is doesn't happen again.
I was able to see Maddow on McCarthy and, oh, the insanity. How do these people even make it into congress? I am feeling "the bern" more and more and am feeling that it is a definite possibility and think that she feels the same. I can't wait to watch the debates between the two. Going up against the Clintons can be a dangerous thing as we have seen before.
I think that my gorilla is beginning to feel a little better but all of this has taken it's toll on me and I am just not my crazy self. I am ridden with anxiety that shows itself in many different ways. I have made a doctor's appt. for next week as my system is all out of wack. I am doing several tests before the apt so the doc can see what is going on by the time I get there. Wish me luck as these are not just minor things. I have been undergoing this stress since last Christmas and things are getting worse rather than better.
It is so good to see all of my FAV's here and that is the bright point of my day and helping so much. The garden mistress posted one of the most god awful posts to my timeline in FB...all about diarear that I deleted immediately. I wrote her a note and asked that she not do this again.
So, it is onward and upward from this point and I will survive!! Keep the good vibes coming and know how much I love you guys being here.
I was so overwhelmed by that horrible thing in beautiful Roseburg. Sorry, I ranted a bit. Agy is right; we just have to move upward and onward.
Please take care of yourself, Agy. It is so typical that we get through the crisis and then our body lets us know how hard it was. Hope the docs can get you back on track quickly! Lot's of love and white light going out to you. Daisy says woof-woof, which I think is feel better. Her vocabulary is a little limited right now. Our furry friends are the epitome of what is good in life. Daisy does bring me such joy.
I like the idea of one thing and it being happiness. Imagine turning on the pute and hearing nothing but good news! Anne Murray had a song about that back in the eighties; "A Little Good News".
One piece of good news is that the Pope didn;t ask to see Kim Davis (according to a Vatican spokesman). She was part of a group, about 100 who were invited to Washington. He didn't even know about it. The Envoy who invited her is in trouble! That's good.
He had one Papal audience while in Washington. A student he taught in Argentina in the mid '60's. And the guy is gay and brought his partner of 19 years. The Pope called him and invited him to come and visit. Just the three of them!!
Thought that might make Sherry happy!
Cooler here today-in the low '60's. A little cloudy with a hint of rain. But sunny tomorrow. I like the change in seasons. Working on a quilt, kind of a throw for the back of my couch. If I can get it done it will be nice for winter. Quilting is new to me, I got tired of cross stitch and needlepoint, thought I'd give this a try.
What are you all up to, now that the garden season is drawing to a close. Got your paints out Agy?
I went to You Tube to see if I could find the Anne Murray song. Found it-posting from there is so easy-yea!!
Then I remembered the Elephant reunion video. Do you all remember when we were campaigning to save the elephant at the Dallas Zoo; Jenny was her name. Lily Tomlin was involved.
Well this video, which I posted here, is about her and an old circus buddy that are reunited after 25 years, at an animal sanctuary in Tennessee. It is so amazing and I don;t see how anyone who watches it couldn't see that all creatures have very deep feelings. I love that it has the WOW/Dallas connection!
I am definitely into good music and news. Thanks for the Anne Murray, Sweet Betsy, and to know that the pope didn't invite that woman for a meet-up saves all of the good vibes that I had going for him which has been one of the highlights of the year for me.
I am just so happy to hear the good news of "Jenny the elephant". Elephants are among the smartest animals on the planet and it has been proven that they understand language and all that happens around them. The follow-up here is good news, indeed.
I am not following the GOP clown show but am very interested to see the first Democratic debate. I love the idea that they are going to stick to the facts and not try to slam each other as all that is important is facts. I will vote for the democratic nominee but I am definitely hoping that Sanders is it. I don't think that there will be a lot of difference between Hillary and a more "moderate" republican. I am glad thank we have this space to discuss ideas in a civil manner unlike other places I know. My hopes are a long shot but I can dream, can't I? Having said this, I feel that the more people learn of him and send in their few dollars, the better off he will be.
I am feeling a little better as is Curt but keep the white light flowing...it definitely helps to know that it is coming our way.
Happiness to all of you and hoping to see some friggin toes pop up to complete The Fab Four!!!
Candy! I love the Jenny video! I got caught up and spent a bunch of the day watching elephant reunion videos on You Tube. I cried. I laughed. They are so magnificent and tender.
Teh Gorilla is feeling better? Is this something the doctors have done? Zee white light she be flowing to the home of the RoseQueen, through her Gorilla and right down to the furred and the feathered. Painting! An excellent idea in this time of emotional, physical, mental tsunami. I'm never good at excellent ideas when my mind is awhirl in fear and confusion. I just wander nervously.
Mike has another CT scan on Tuesday morning. I find myself holding my breath as the day draws closer. Send a little light this way!
Glad to read that the Pope didn't actually have a meeting with that little KimCreep.
I am loving seeing AgyWithTheBern! I don't have it. But it's a joy to experience. I don't know if you know, but I'm behind Hillary at this point. I don't think she's even slightly like any Republican. But I have no problem at all, with you ranting about her Agytatin. I do believe with all the things going on in your life, that a ranting outlet is a very good thing. And ranting against a politician? You go girrrl. Your passion is very exciting. "Discuss ideas in a civil manner", Even more than that, I respect you and your beautiful mind. So... good stuff!
This morning it is actually chilly outside. I can't believe it. Thank you Oregon and Colorado! It's alive!
Love and light and magic and healing and the breath of a thousand tiny dragons.
So glad you all enjoyed the Jenny video; when I saw it months ago I thought of you all, so glad I had the opportunity to share.
Tons of white light going to you and Mike, Deni. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Keep us posted on how everyone is doing. Hope the docs have good answers for everyone.
I think it is great that all this political stuff is being discussed, especially with the idea that there is no "one good answer". Wish it was that simple. My concern about Hillary is that she is heavily connected to Rubin, Summers and Geithner, who are just an extension of the oligarchy. Just can't judge how independent of Bill she really is; sometimes I have the feeling that she would like to chuck him, but then I also admire that she has stuck by him. I don;t doubt her feminist credentials and think a woman President would be awesome.
I would prefer Elizabeth Warren, but she obviously thinks she can be more useful in the Senate and I can't argue with that. I think one of the reasons Obama wasn't more effective is because every President has their hands tied the minute they are sworn in!! Very sad. I love that we can air all our ideas and opinions here because there is abundant respect for all! And brilliance of course-goes without saying-right!!!
Well lovely weather to all for the week ahead. Look forward everyday to hear the latest.
Mike's test has been cancelled, for now. So no nuking the boy tomorrow. Yay!
Who wouldn't want Warren for President?!! Mike & I were having a discussion last night about whether Bernie is electable. Mike saying once the Right unleashes the "Socialist!" meme on Bernie, it will be mean and relentless. He believes Bernie can not be elected. I believe at this point, no he could not. But I maintain if Bernie were to win the Primary, it would take a sea-change of epic proportions in the electorate. If that happened (and it could), I believe he could win the Presidency. The same people who backed him would redouble their efforts to get him elected. I believe they could do it. Anyway I won the discussion when Mike said there is no way in his lifetime this country would elect a Socialist, Democrat or otherwise. I countered with... did you think we'd elect an African American president in your lifetime? Really, which was more unlikely? As if to underscore my stance, I saw this, this morning:
Democratic presidential contender Hillary Rodham Clinton pulled in $28 million for her 2016 bid in the third fundraising quarter of the year
Sanders's fundraising picked up over the summer, helping him collect more than $25.5 million over the last three months
That's fucking amazing.
Did anyone see Hillary on SNL. I caught a clip of it. It was hilarious.
I worry more about what either of them can accomplish with the insane Repubs in Congress, than I do about which of them is elected. Right now I believe that Hillary can do a better job of that. Which is the same way I decided on Obama over Hillary last time. As the 11th most Liberal Democrat in the Senate, she was more liberal in her voting than Obama. But Obama was smarter and better at getting votes during the campaign. So I chose him. I thought he would do a better job outmaneuvering the Repubs. Hillary ended up with hideous people around her, Mark Penn anyone? So it was easy to go against her after that. This time she has some excellent progressives working with her. I like that. Her ideas have been excellent for the most part. One of the big things I have had against her running is her age. If Bernie were younger, that would prolly flip me to him. But he's older. So I wish I knew who both their running mates would be.
Whew! I don't know where all that came from. I keep rolling all this stuff around in my mind. I guess I just needed to get it outside of myself. I don't talk to other people about it. It doesn't seem to work out well. People just get mad at me, no matter who their chosen candidate is. I get that. I wasn't going to say anything here either. But you are my friends and I decided to venture forth.
Sending megatons of white light on dragonfly wings that all goes well with "themantoe" and the CT scan tomorrow. The gorilla is worst today and just called the surgeon in Portland and he is also suggesting another CT scan (this will be the fouth one he has had this year. He is thinking that doctors are using them more than is necessary to pay for them and to avoid lawsuits just in case. So, hope that all goes well but would not be overly concerned.
I am a little beside myself today (hahaha...imagine two dumbed down Agys sitting side by side) which is more than a normal person could bear but that is the case.
What a total pleasure it is to drop in here - I feel privileged to read the thoughts of my intelligent awesome cyberpals!! Y’all are the antidote to the torture I endure watching O’Reilly’s “Spin & Bloviate” show. (I may have already shared with you that I FORCE myself to tune into that repulsive hour of the Faux to do my opposition research and try to understand where the lies and other assorted fecal matter comes from.) Back when I had to sift through the snark and trip over the trolls at Wow, it was always worth it because your voices were there. You energized and educated me, you helped me laugh at the absurdities.
Deni, your conversation with your partner is exactly the discussion I have been having with myself recently. Back in ’08 it didn’t seem possible that the candidate we all liked had the proverbial snowball’s chance – until he did. It remains to be seen if lightning will strike twice. I plan to learn all I can about the candidates, but the one thing that is absolutely certain: I would prefer Jabba the Hut to ANYONE on that menu of dangerous malicious divisive Republicans. I have a dear friend who is a life-long Republican, earlier this evening we were discussing the state of politics and she shared with me that she is leaving the party. She said it has become too extreme and she doesn’t recognize it anymore. Perhaps this will be the way sanity will find its way back into politics before our democracy is completely destroyed?
I am so sad that the Fabs’ menfolk are experiencing such distressing challenges. If my magic wand (I do have one) really worked, I would alter these circumstances in one wave. Alas I shall have to keep up the concentration of white light and hope for the best with all my heart. I am going to visualize positive updates ahead.
OMG Fabs, do not miss this offering from Ms. Dowd…....…the woman can NAIL it!
Here is my favorite quote from the piece: (Bone-man to McCarthy) “You can’t just go blurt out the truth — even on Fox. It still gets around to regular people.”
Thanks, Sherry. That looks like a good one. She definitely likes to tell it like it is! I will check it out. "Regular people"-I love it!
Hope this week brings improving health for everyone. Beautiful and sunny here today and we may have a few more days before the colder weather arrives. Just got back from a nice walk with Daisy and the leaves are turning gold and red-very beautiful. Daisy likes to chase them and has brought a nice collection home. I make her leave them on the doorstep and she looks for them as soon as we go out again. They are pretty smart, these furry friends.
Maureen Dowd is the best and can tell it just like it is with a tongue in cheek grin like no other. I have one of her books and when things are too much with me, I check it out to laugh at the insanity!
It has been a day of medical testing for me in preparation for my annual physical. The doctor's office has already called to say that my potassium is too low and that I have lost too much weight. I still have other tests to go before my visit with him next week which I was given to do here at home. Curt will take them to Corwallis tomorrow when he goes for his MRI. I know that anxiety is a part of this but food has become very unappealing.
Daisy sounds like such a good girl and I can feel the joy that she is bringing to your life, Candy, through the blog. Just what you needed.
Hoping all of the FABS stay healthy and happy...it gets no better.
Hey Ms. AgyJane-navigating-the-annual-poke-and-prod. Our conscientious attention to prevention, eh? I just scheduled my mammo as I prepare for the same arduous trip through medicalville. ARGH!! Well I say: GOOD ON US! Have you considered a bite of the magic herb that has now been legalized in our little blue state? Might be the perfect double whammy for anxiety and lack of appetite? Just a thought. Sure hope Curt's MRI is a giant step on his road to feeling better. Keep the faith, cyberbud......you are being surrounded with +~~.
I am smiling to think that all of us have our critters to love and enjoy. My two furbabies are being particularly attentive at the moment, they can smell zucchini bread baking. My girls would stand on their heads for a mere crumb of zucchini bread. Go figure?
Thanks again to Candy for creating this wonderful e-gathering place.
Agy, hope you get through all these tests ok. I really hate going to the dr even for a check up. I've put if off for awhile. Kaiser thinks medical care can be done by email and messages left on my phone reminding me to get a flu shot. Funny, but a little sad; I really miss the old days when I knew my dr well. But that was Oregon, 15 yrs ago. Oh well!
Definitely sending good thoughts for all these challenges everyone is facing. Hope Curt's MRI provides good news.
Looks like McCarthy did himself in; think we dodged a bullet there. He wasn't fit to lead the House. So glad we have Rachael Maddow; she does her homework and exposed his weakness. Bernie Sanders is coming to CU-Boulder Saturday. I'm encouraging my grandson, Keegan to go see him. It's a student event. Glad to see Hillary clarify her position on the Trade deal and Keystone XL.
Daisy is making a huge difference to me. I was deeply depressed by several things including losing Holły. Just all felt like it was too much. But she gets me up and out and back walking and always makes me smile. Being back in touch with you all makes everything better, it's so good to feel connected to intelligent, creative, like-minded women. It's been a joint effort, but we did it and are off and running(ok, walking-but still!!!).
Here's hoping these beautiful fall days bring healing and peace to everyone.
Yo! Candy this is wonderful that Daisy is banishing the depression. I've been thinking a widdle puppette might do the same for me. But we spend so much money on Layla what with her pills and doctor visits and the food. Geez I order her raw, organic wet food online, trying to get the best to help her immune system. So I don't think I can afford to feed a dog too. But I'm thinking about it anyway. Cause... Puppy noses and puppy breath make the world go round. Oh gawd, now I wanna go out and get a dog. Right now! hahaha
I've been working tirelessly in the yard, since the weather cooled. Back up in the 90's today, so I'm at the pute. And, I can't tell I've done a damn thing in the yard, anyway.
Agy I hope the gorilla just gets better and better. I've got my little sacred space up for Curt and for you, cause this must be hell. I put a beautiful gorgeous smelling moon rose in the space to represent the AgyRoseQueen. This too shall pass! You already know I totally second Sherry's herbal suggestion.
Oh Sherry with the Karma, Kizzy Zucchini pups! Hahaha! I'll hafta try some on Layla. She does like cantaloupe. Made some of your favorite Delicata squash last night. Wow, that was really yummy, with a delicate lingering aftertaste.
My idea for my name as an "F" is that I will just use any damn thing that starts with F or PH or as in today, just spelling it out "EFF". Maybe one will stick, maybe I'll just be Eff. It gives me something to do with my brain. hahaha.
How is Friday for everyone? Warmer here again-high 80's this weekend. Unheard of in mid-October. But I am just trying to enjoy since it will be cold, windy and snowy soon enough. All these strange weather patterns are a little scary.
Hey, Deni, you got it right these little furries can be pretty spendy. I got Daisy instead of a washer/dryer, but wouldn't change it. What else in the world gives us back bountiful love for every little pet, scratch and morsel of food we give out. Well i like Eff-think it's effing great!!
Hope things are moving toward health and peace in Fabland. Forward, undaunted-per Miss Agyjane.
Ok then, I'm going with Eff and its various variants!
High 80's here and overcast. There is rain above us; rain below us: rain to left and rain to the right. Just one little drenched cell needs move an itty bitty bit towards us. And there will be rain upon us.
Happy Friday FabOvas!
Love and light and health and giant bags of happiness plopping.
Denmitoes, I am so jealous that you get to the "the effed up one" for all time. What am I going to do when totally effed up and not smelling like a rose without a flower or even an eeffing dandy lion in my garden or my zoo or to call my own?
And Sweet Betsy, what a great choice you made between Daisy and washing machine!! When clothes get dirty just throw them in a tub of water with detergent and let Daisey stomp them...clean clothes and clean puppy. How smart you are but we all knew that...it is a "twofer"!
Ah, herbs...why didn't I think of that?
Onward and upward into a high smog of happiness to all!!
Agy! hahaha you're hilarious! (i)I am so jealous that you get to the "the effed up one" for all time.(/i) Definitely can't say for all time. Life is so mercurial. It's all an ongoing word/letter experiment. Eff is just the placeholder and could be abandoned/passed forward/absconded with at any time. I'm not attached. Well parts of me are attached to other parts of me. But the glue is dodgy. It's an issue.
It's 96 today. Too hot to work outside. So here i am waxing frenetic.
I am borrowing "the effed up ones' moniker hopefully just for the day. When I grabbed for it, no parts of her or her toes landed on me so she must be cool with it this once. If it happens again, I'll just get a "Tangiesack" for spare parts to wear around me neck til thingys get normal again...so I may be totin fur a while, ya know.
Spent the whole afternoon with the Doc Man and my body, soul and brain have been poked six ways to Sunday on the inside and outside and needles everwhere. Three or four different kinds of lab work with the "MONSTER MASH" and colonoscopy still to come!! He also thinks I may have a screw or two loose but I have always known that but the gorilla insisted that it was worse than usual, thank you very much. I didn't say that he was part of the cause!!!! This was endured for about four hours so I am ready for a drink and bed-de-bye. Curt is still in bad shape and has not heard from his testing last week so this makes my anxiety go sky high so I have lost 20 lbs in the last few months. Think all would agree that I need "the effing moniker for this time period so hope "the toes" is cool with it.
Hopin all is hucky dory with the rest of the fABS and you have my back or front...whichever suits you best. May your fall be great and I don't mean "from grace"! So a huge shout out to Sherry, Sweet Betsy and de toes.
Oh RoseEffinAgy! You got it. I is cool. I'm thinkin we need monikers to grab or pass around.. What would 'the effed up ones' moniker look like? I got a pic of the Tangiesack somewhere. Perhaps one with rhinestones if yer goona be wearin it round yer neck. I think that's an excellent place for my spare parts. There's several rattlin' about in my head, abondoned and lookin' for a home.
Sending you mucho buchu buckets of love. What a crap day EffedUpAgy! And yet you are brilliant and hilarious. Effin'Agy. a light piercing through the Effin' dark. You are a wonder, an amazement. Nothing turns the brain to mush quite like stress. It's amazing yours is functioning at the high level it is.
Oh the Dragons have absconded with the tangiesack and are flying to Oregon to see you! They're bringing books and paints with champagne and rose petals for the hot tub. They're loaded to the forelocks with magic.
Love you woman. I'm singing you a liitle diddy LALAlalala! And the Effin'Rose Will Rise! LAlalaLA! A song in her heart and healing in her eyes! LALAlalala! And the gorilla too! Choo Choo! Choo Choo!. Forward and Onward!
A thought from a very mentally challenged one...that is not saying that I am not FAB but just in a slightly different way....hahahahaha. I followed the "toes" directions but couldn't even find "FAB 4 Reunion Wednesday so I went to others of Candy's looking for Daisey with toy in mouth with 3 comments and never even found that. Is there someway someone could dig a hole and pull me through??????

Woo Hoo Candy......you got 'er handled!!
I will check back later to see who drops in.
Sherry
Hey y'all
I tried to post earlier today and THOUGHT I had succeeded, apparently not. So here we go again.
+~~
Sherry
Okay, fabulous ladies, I think I figured out what I did wrong.
After you click "publish comment," you are sent to the Gmail page to log in. When you have signed in, you are redirected back to the blog and evidently you have to click "publish comment" again to complete the process. FYI, I was not required to verify I was not a robot after my first comment posted.....perhaps having a valid Gmail account means never having to prove you're human??
:-}
Sherry
With Sherry's help, here I be....YAH! This is wonderful to have our own little spot to make our FAB Four magic. Thank you, Candy, as I know this will be interesting with my fav peeps aboard.
Sending waves of good wishes to the fabulous ones.
Agy
Late night greetings
I keep trying to ignore the political insanity, alas I must have masochistic tendencies. Perhaps my satellite will fall from the roof and I will be saved??
:-}
Love and +~~ and white light to all y'all.
Sherry
Love and hugs to the bestest!!!!!!
Agytatin
Oh my gosh-I couldn't figure out how to see the comments, so I've sitting here worried something bad had happened.
Seriously, how silly is that.
I thought you guys would be able to post as well as comment. I will try to figure this out a little more. So glad we have a place to talk.
Hope Deni can find it.
Colbert is doing us a service exposing these people for the shallow power seekers that they are. So glad we have him. I taped the Trump
Show, will watch in a bit.
So happy for this Fab Four Reunion!!! Yea!!!!
Hello hello!
I'm in the middle of trying to get something straightened out with Amazon. Be back in a while. And Happy Birthday Mon Sherry!
DaToez of Repose
Happy Birthday, Sherry. So good to be in touch with you all.
Hope your day is wonderful!!
Hoping to see "da toes" pop up!!!
Agytatin
Yay!!!! De Toes popped while I was typing so The FABS are all in!!!!!
Agygrinnin
Hmmm I posted a few more times. But they don't appear to be here. Ah well.
The FABS is such a great name. Check it out: A for Agy; B for Sweet Betsy' S for Sherry. Unfortunately I can't think of how to link the F to me. I was so excited when I realized the letters alligned, untip I realized I didn't. haha~
DaFrigginToez
F=five friggin toes
A=Agy
B=Sweet Betsy
S=Sherry
The Fabs it is now and evermore!!!!
Agydancin
Hey Fabs
Sherry
Demi- you are the fabulous in the Fabs!! Of course. Where did your posts go? I have to admit I am a complete novice at this.
But we will go forth- undaunted!!
Sherry- you are spot on. We are aging fabulously!! The numbers are irrelevant. Your day sounds wonderful.
Agygaga
PS. Does any one know how to do a daily post????
Agyrightbrain
New post.....
I invited you all to be authors and think if you accept then anyone can do a new post.
I can try to do a be post daily, but any ideas about what would be interesting would be
helpful.
What do you all think of the Pope's visit?
LOVE AND HAPPINESS TO THE FAVS.....
Agysan
Good evening Fab Friends
Here is a stab at sharing a link:
https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/vnVuqfXohxc?rel=0&%3bshowinfo=0
Doesn't look like it pasted as a hot link, but if you copy and paste it yourself I guarantee it will provide some warm fuzzy.
+~~ to all Fabs
Sherry
Hi Fabs,
You may be on to something with a commune in Western Canada, Sherry. As you say,
a girl can dream!! I have often thought of escaping to Canada when things get
unbearably embarassing to admit that I live in the USA. But some of my Canadian
friends tell me that under Harper it's not much better there.
Maybe???
You all take care.
Peas and gravy,
Candy
The Eff. haha!

Hey ladies

HiFabs,
Oh Sherry, your poetic report on Oregon makes me miss it so much!
Wonderful week to all!!
Hugs,
Candy
Hey Y'all
Dear dear Candy, I am very pleased that you enjoyed that little slice of Oregon heaven.
Mrs. Deni G, my gracious guru and cyberpal, I have been creatively visualizing cool breezes wafting all around Dragonfly Manor, soothing you, keeping you comfortable.....and caressing the veggies to hasten your harvest. Yes, gardening is creative and pleasurable but damn it, we have a right to expect some fruit for our labor too, eh?
:-}
I KNOW we are all celebrating the huge news that Shell has called a halt to drilling the arctic. We have dodged that bullet, and avoided yet another nail in our planet's coffin. Does anyone doubt that the Pope's visit continues to resonate? WOW!!
Be well
xoxoxoxo
Sherry
Hi Fabs,
Hope the news was good for the gorilla and Agyjane and relief will soon be on it's way. Good thoughts headed your way! Good news on your healing, Sherry. Some days it feels like a battle just to keep even with time!
Shell throwing in the towel on Arctic drilling is great news. These dinosaur energy
companies are a lodestone around our neck. They are hanging on for dear life and
I am grateful for those folks who are working so hard to throw them off or drag them into the new century.
Hugs,
Candy
I figured out how to post a picture that I downloaded from an email.
It is Daisy from Sunday. She got that little toy for graduating from puppy
training.
Will someone let me know if you can see it? Thanks!
Good morning
Bingo Candy......an adorable vision indeed. Congrats to the graduate, and to her human.
+~~
Sherry
Thanks, Sherry for letting me know. She's a good girl.
Yay to the FABS....
Agyjane
Hey Agyjane,
I wish with all my heart that you and Curt weren't going through this. I am glad
that you have confidence in the surgeon that you have. All my good thoughts and prayers are going out to you two. Hopefully the procedure and drugs will help.
I've had two good friends who struggled with Crohns; they both ended up with
surgery and it made a huge difference in their condition.
Hugs,
Candy
October greetings
Gag me!!
Where oh where is our Deni, she of light and music and wit and wisdom? Sure hope all is well deep in the heart of Texas.......eagerly awaiting verification.
:-}
I am off to stroll the local farmer's market in McMinnville now, always an earthy and thoroughly delightful experience. Wish I could take all of you along to sample the sights and sounds and scents and flavors.
Be well fabulous Fabs.

I just wrote a long post and it disappeared into thin air....I WILL BE BACK.
Agyjane
Oh good grief, AgyJane......that has happened to all of us at one time or another.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrr SO FRUSTRATING!! (Perhaps all the white light is creating interference?)
Allow me to share the e-insurance I use for messages: pull up an e-mail pane, compose your message there, then copy it, click on the comment page and paste your comments. Hello The Fabs of October!
I reside in the valley of good intentions. haha!
Ever forward~

Hi all,
I can't believe that we have another mass shooting in this country. But guns aren't the problem- oh no!!
This guy had thirteen guns; why does anyone need thirteen guns? It is just so sad that there are so many
angry young men. And Jeb Bush's response"stuff happens"! Ok!!
Do the 1% not understand that these problems effect everyone? Their net worth isn't going to keep them safe.
Or buy them clean water and air, when it's all gone. And none of the Repubs have any solutions for any of these
social issues and they can't connect their ugly campaign speeches, filled with hate, with these people
going nuts and on rampages.
Agytryintokeepitrosy
Hi Fabs,
I was so overwhelmed by that horrible thing in beautiful Roseburg. Sorry, I ranted a bit. Agy is right; we just have to move upward and onward.
Please take care of yourself, Agy. It is so typical that we get through the crisis
and then our body lets us know how hard it was. Hope the docs can get you back on track quickly! Lot's of love and white light going out to you. Daisy says woof-woof,
which I think is feel better.
Stay well Fabs-we need to stick together!
Hugs,
Candy
Hi,
I went to You Tube to see if I could find the Anne Murray song.
Hey to all the FABS,
I am definitely into good music and news.
PlainAgyJane
Oh Teh Fabettes, how they rock! And roll.
FingersForToes
Morning FABS,
So glad you all enjoyed the Jenny video; when I saw it months ago I thought
of you all, so glad I had the opportunity to share.
Tons of white light going to you and Mike, Deni. You are all in my thoughts
and prayers. Keep us posted on how everyone is doing. Hope the docs have
good answers for everyone.
I think it is great that all this political stuff is being discussed, especially
with the idea that there is no "one good answer".
Hugs,
Candy
Hello Fabulous Ones!
So onward!
Love and the dragons.
Forsooths
Sending megatons of white light on dragonfly wings that all goes well with "themantoe" and the CT scan tomorrow. The gorilla is worst today and just called the surgeon in Portland and he is also suggesting another CT scan (this will be the fouth one he has had this year. He is thinking that doctors are using them more than is necessary to pay for them and to avoid lawsuits just in case. So, hope that all goes well but would not be overly concerned.
I am a little beside myself today (hahaha...imagine two dumbed down Agys sitting side by side) which is more than a normal person could bear but that is the case.
So with this visual, I will leave you.
At least the weather is nice.
Doubleagy
Hey brilliant fabulous Fabs
Be well

OMG Fabs, do not miss this offering from Ms. Dowd…....…the woman can NAIL it!
Here is my favorite quote from the piece: (Bone-man to McCarthy) “You can’t just go blurt out the truth — even on Fox. It still gets around to regular people.”
http://www.nytimes.com/2015/10/04/opinion/sunday/maureen-dowd-the-speaker-the-pope-and-the-exorcism.html?rref=collection%2Fcolumn%2Fmaureen-dowd&action=click&contentCollection=opinion®ion=stream&module=stream_unit&version=latest&contentPlacement=1&pgtype=collection&_r=0

Sherry
Thanks, Sherry. That looks like a good one. She definitely likes to tell it like it is! I will check it out. "Regular people"-I love it!
Hope this week brings improving health for everyone. Beautiful and sunny here today
and we may have a few more days before the colder weather arrives. Just got back from a nice walk with Daisy and the leaves are turning gold and red-very beautiful. Daisy likes to chase them and has brought a nice collection home. I make her leave them on the doorstep and she looks for them as soon as we go out again. They are pretty smart, these furry friends.
Have a good day FABS-Candy
Agyjane
Go figure?
Thanks again to Candy for creating this wonderful e-gathering place.
xoxoxoxo
Sherry
Hi all,
Agy, hope you get through all these tests ok. I really hate going to the dr even for a check up.
I've put if off for awhile. Kaiser thinks medical care can be done by email and messages left on my
phone reminding me to get a flu shot. Funny, but a little sad; I really miss the old days when I knew
my dr well. But that was Oregon, 15 yrs ago. Oh well!
Definitely sending good thoughts for all these challenges everyone is facing. Hope Curt's MRI provides
good news.
Looks like McCarthy did himself in; think we dodged a bullet there. He wasn't fit to lead the House. So glad
we have Rachael Maddow; she does her homework and exposed his weakness. Bernie Sanders is coming to
CU-Boulder Saturday. I'm encouraging my grandson, Keegan to go see him. It's a student event. Glad to see Hillary
clarify her position on the Trade deal and Keystone XL.
Daisy is making a huge difference to me. I was deeply depressed by several things including losing Holły.
Just all felt like it was too much. But she gets me up and out and back walking and always makes me smile.
Being back in touch with you all makes everything better, it's so good to feel connected to intelligent, creative,
like-minded women. It's been a joint effort, but we did it and are off and running(ok, walking-but still!!!).
Here's hoping these beautiful fall days bring healing and peace to everyone.
Peas and gravy,
Candy
It gives me something to do with my brain. hahaha.
For the Puppies,

Hi FABS,
How is Friday for everyone? Warmer here again-high 80's this weekend. Unheard
of in mid-October. But I am just trying to enjoy since it will be cold, windy
and snowy soon enough. All these strange weather patterns are a little scary.
Hey, Deni, you got it right these little furries can be pretty spendy. I got
Daisy instead of a washer/dryer, but wouldn't change it. What else in the world
gives us back bountiful love for every little pet, scratch and morsel of food we
give out. Well i like Eff-think it's effing great!!
Hope things are moving toward health and peace in Fabland. Forward, undaunted-per
Miss Agyjane.
hugs,
Candy
Ok then, I'm going with Eff and its various variants!
High 80's here and overcast. There is rain above us; rain below us: rain to left and rain to the right. Just one little drenched cell needs move an itty bitty bit towards us. And there will be rain upon us.
Happy Friday FabOvas!
Love and light and health and giant bags of happiness plopping.
Forward and Onward!
Effed up!

Hi all,
Wonderful weather here today. Quiet weekend; did some walking in the foothills and
then was too tired to do much else. Even Daisy was a little tired.
Hope you get some answers from the docs, Agy and that they are helpful. How is Curt doing?
Have a good day everyone,
Candy
The FABS do Monday!
Agy! hahaha you're hilarious!
Warding the Fore,
Foofette
Hey there Fav ones,
I am borrowing "the effed up ones' moniker hopefully just for the day.
Agychugin

WoWoWow.....63 comments!! I am going to head back to the front page and post under Daisy's sweet picture. New thread?

Sherry
Good idea, Sherry, it will be easier to get to the comments. So I'm headed there, too
But, how do I get there????

EffedUpAgy!
This is what I did:
1. Go to the top of this page.
2. Click on the banner headline: "Fab Four-A WOW Reunion Wednesday".
3. Scroll down a bit to: the pic of Daisy with the chew toy in her mouth.
4. Under the pic it says: Posted by Candy at 9:04 AM" and: "3 comments"
5. Click on the "3 comments" and you have arrived at your destination.
6. Please raise all your tray tables and seat backs.
Phalanges!
