Hello fabulous FABS,
Long time, no see so thought I would give a shout out and see if anything comes back to tickle my fancy. Needing some laughs here so hoping you are ready to spill forth. My main happiness these days is coming from the TONS of old roses that smell like heaven as they grow up and over fences, up trees, up pilers, in pots and scamper along the ground. Happiness is............
I will keep this short to see if it goes through and gets to all of you.

The Soul Of A Nation
I have been doing a lot of reading about how vitally important organization is and will be in the upcoming years.. We hear a lot about activism. But unless it's rooted in strong organizational skills, it's not only less effective, it runs the risk of being counter-productive.
The other message I keep seeing is
Pace Yourselves!

The other message I keep seeing is
Pace Yourselves!
~Al Giordano~
resist the urge
to leap from outrage to outrage,
to chase from protest to protest,
in ways that will only burn you out
before an authentic resistance
can be successfully constructed.
This is going to be a years-‐long struggle.
There are no shortcuts.
Pace yourself.
CEO of King Center,
Daughter of Dr. Martin Luther King
and Coretta Scott King
posted this on her Facebook page tonight.
Bernice King has since amended #1.
From: 1. Don't use his name; EVER (45 will do)
To: 1. Use his name sparingly so as not to detract from the issues. I believe that everyone, regardless of their beliefs, deserves the dignity of being called by their name. However, this is a strategic tactic. While we are so focused on him we are prone to neglect the questionable policies that threaten freedom, justice and fairness advanced by the administration.

25 Simple Ways To Stand Up To Hate...
Well here we go Fabs, just one more day til we officially enter the American Twilight Zone Experiment.
I'm pretty sure I was meant to be wandering through a forest or body-surfing in the ocean at this point in my life. Instead I will once again be engaging in ways to transform an unfolding, ever more bizarre reality. I'll spare you a ride on the road through my mind, such as nothing is actually real. That life is nothing more than a giant feedback loop. And we're standing in purgatory, straddling hell. Because I am nothing if not upbeat, I'll focus on the transformation.
The '25 Simple Ways' is from Upworthy which I get in my email each day. I'll highlight a few of the ways. To read them all please click the link. I think I'll write posts on more of them as the weeks unfold. They're very good.
There's no stopping this. On Jan. 20, 2017, Donald Trump will be your President and mine. If you're feeling lost or hopeless, it's okay. A
lot of people are feeling the same. It may be too late to undo the
results of the election, but it's never too late to do whatever you can
to stand up for what you believe in. What better time to turn your
feelings into action than than during the inauguration itself?
7. Shut off inauguration coverage and watch the Love-A-Thon instead.
Tune in to Upworthy's Facebook page
at 12:30 pm EST on Friday, January 20th, just as the inauguration is
starting, to watch the Love-A-Thon, the first ever Facebook Live
telathon.
Its goal is to raise $500,000 for organizations like the ACLU and Planned Parenthood that stand up for marginalized communities.
9. Check out some of the protest hashtags as well.
As Trump is being sworn in, lots of people will be using twitter to protest and send a message. For example, the sexual assault advocacy group FORCE will be starting #WeWillNotBeSilent.
Sexual assault survivors will be tweeting with that hashtag to stand up
to the rape culture he represents.
They'll also be tweeting with #InThisMan — to represent the ways in which Trump reminds them of their abusers.
10. Write "This is not normal" on a post-it note and stick it somewhere you'll see it every day.
Number 10 is my favorite!
And they cribbed it from John Oliver, so let's go straight to the horses mouth:
John Oliver said on Last Week Tonight:
“It’s important to remember many people are happy to see him in office. But for the rest of us, we are faced with
the same questions as a guy that woke up the day after a Vegas bachelor
party, deep in the desert, naked,
tied to a cactus and a dead clown.
tied to a cactus and a dead clown.
Namely, how the f--k did we get here?
And what the f--k do we do now?"
“It is going to be too easy for things to start feeling normal,...
So keep reminding yourself this is not normal.
Write
it on a Post-It Note, and stick it on your refrigerator.
Hire a
skywriter once a month.
Tattoo it on your ass.
Because a Klan-backed
misogynist internet troll is going to be delivering the next State of
the Union address.
And that is not normal,
