I didn't mean for all that text to post like that, but can't figure out how to correct it. Sorry. I just wanted to show an update and then a comment. I can't figure out how to delete and repost. Anyway, Agy needs our thoughts-that's what is important.
I just talked to Agy a bit ago. She's been too stressed to post and asked me to post this update on Curt. He is in the hospital, has been since Tuesday, when they found a bad infection and lesions in his stomach, intestines and colon. He got a transfusion today in preparation for surgery tomorrow. They will remove the damaged parts, including his whole colon. He is in ICU. It sounds very serious; he will have three doctors working on him at OHSU.
Agy is very upset and can't go to Portland; can't go in the hospital because of her own health concerns. Curt will be in the hospital for about 10 days. She is getting some help from a part-time housekeeper that Curt hired, but I'm sure she feels lost without Curt.
She tried to call Sherry earlier today to let us know what was going on and then reached me awhile ago.
Thought i'd make this a separate post so we could focus our good thoughts and white light energy for them both. Agy asked me to tell you all how glad she is to have us in her life and it means the world to be back in touch.
I think Curt is a really strong guy who can get through this. I know he worries about Agy and wants to be there for her. I hope it all goes alright and they can get him fixed up.
Hope all is well with you all. Thinking good thoughts, with everything crossed!! We need dragonfly and ~~++ light pouring to Portland!!
Oh wow! Absolutely with the light and the dragonflies!
Is there a way to know when something is posted? I only know something's here if I come and look around and I obviously still don't catch everything. I don't get an email when someone posts unless I've posted on the particular thread. Can I sign up to get an email when someone posts? Or something like that?
I've been thinking about Agy for days now. I was gonna call her. But for me at least, sometimes when my world is crashing, I want to talk to people and other times I just can't.
Love and love and light and dragons, music and more love winging their way to Oregon.
Thank you for posting this Candy. I've been worrying about AgyJane and it was reaching a fever pitch. Not good news at all, but I'm grateful to know what's happening.
Hug moving up to Candy from DemiToes and on to SherryBaby, then flying off to wrap itself around AgyJane and her Gorilla,
Agy called with an update. Curt had surgery this morning, 3hours. Took part of his stomach and intestines and most of his colon. He is in isolation because of fear of infection. Agy talked to him later in the day, lots of pain, but hanging in there. They still think he will be in the hospital for 10 days.
Agy asked me to tell you all that it means so much to her knowing the FABS are in her corner!! She will post as soon as she can focus. Hopefully he will have a much better quality of life with this surgery.
Thank you for the updates Candy, our AgyJane surely feels like she is in the Twilight Zone and as we all know, the Zone can just suck the life out of us. And, having been there, I can SO related to Deni's observations about the phone. When my circumstances became dire, the family rallied and designated one person to field status update calls for me. I wanted everyone to know what was happening, but had neither the time nor the energy to connect and provide details. Just as she did with you Candy, Agy has told me how much it means to have everyone with her in spirit. Sometimes it is all about serenity - a worthy but extremely challenging goal!
Hope everyone uses our "extra" hour today to rest and replenish.....
Just had a short but very upbeat conversation with AJ, Curt is making great progress, she is feeling better (physically and emotionally) and I could hear a sparkle in her voice. I predict it won't be long before she is here lighting up the blog! Oh ladies, let's hear it for white light and positive energy......and the awesome women who know how to send and receive it!
That is so great to hear!! I sure hope this is the road to pain free, peaceful days for Agy and Curt! It's been too long getting this resolved. It is wonderful to know we have our own personal, private energy source swirling around the country from South to North .
Dances with leaves got to go to the dog park today with her sister. First time in two weeks. Ecstatic hardly describes it! You'd thought she won the puppy lottery.
Keep the white light coming FABS, Curt is fighting a serious infection and Agy said he is in critical condition. She did get to talk to him yesterday late in the day and she felt a little better after that. But he was very sick before the surgery so fighting off all of this is difficult. It must be so hard not to be able to go and see him. I can't imagine!
We have another 70 day here not really a good thing so late in the season, but it is hard not to enjoy the beautiful weather. Hope you have a break from the rain, Deni. All of these changes to the weather are crazy and its more than a little scary that we could be in for worse.
AgyJane just called with great news and I told her I would share. After Curt's horrible experiences yesterday, he has persevered and is doing MUCH better. Needless to say, our Southern Belle-pal is feeling extremely relieved. She reports high spirits in all quarters and is focused on remaining positive. She is awed by the power of white light.....me too!
Hope everyone is at least knee-deep in happy stuff.....be well, y'all.
Yay! to Curt feeling better and soon to be thriving! AgyJane of the marvelous Right Brain Janes said teh Gorilla may be back in his den next week. He'll be leavin' parts of himself at the hospital. The bad parts, those traitor infected parts. And good goddamn riddance! Light to Agydraggin her ass! Light to Curt! Love and magic on dragon wing, we dance, we heal, and singing are we sung!
Oh I'm knee-deep alrighty. But what in? The ritual of moving from summer to winter of washing packing, unpacking, washing has now been combined with cleaning and house airing. Very high on the 'moan, groan, gawd this is boring' factor. So I try ya know to make it more interesting by like redoing the curtains, rearranging the furniture ect. That however makes the cleaning, take much longer... picture me now screaming into the night.
So how is Dances With Leaves doing? How is her cough? How is Candy?
How are the hens and the puppies and wonder woman doin?
Back to the cleaning. I had a friend who dealt her hatred of house cleaning by pretending she was in the jungle fighting bad guys while she vacuumed. I felt much better about myself after watching her fling the bed aside with a loud whoop! and charge behind it doing combat, vacuum hose in hand. hahaha!
I have returned. I was going to post this elsewhere where the conversation was. But in the interest of not having to go back to an old post under another heading, I'm putting it here to keep it simple.
Candy's post (found under - "Let’s call them conservatives in name only: Here’s how we expose the Ted Cruz/Donald Trump fraud":
I'm not sure what to do about the multiple posting threads. We could just do one new one a week and only post there. We definitely want to keep this simple and no fuss I also am not sure how the email works. I guess the box under choose an identity that allows you to ask for follow up comments only works for one thread. Heck I don't know!!!
Hahaha! Don't worry about it. We'll figure out how to do it so it's not confusing. It might even find it's own way, find it's own level. If not, winter is coming and during some cold days when we can't do much and the trauma of sickness & doctors has wound down, we'll have lots of time to figure out how we want to do it. I completely agree with keeping it simple. I love to have simple frameworks to things. My mind dances around with itself like a drunken sailor. It's like an entire panorama of endless... "squirrel!" So I like simplicity. It balances me. I'm all about the balance. As in trying to friggin find it. The little booger is elusive.
How is everyone doing?? I typed this long post yesterday morning and Daisy deleted it!!! She was curious or bored, I guess, and put her nose on the keyboard and whoosh away went my post. I think she was saying hey- I need your attention over here.
Talked to Agy a couple days ago and it sounds like it's up and down but overall in the right direction. Good news that she is a little less stressed. I am sending white light up Oregon way and then swirling all over!!!
Deni, if you find the elusive balance, let us know. I could use some of that!!! It is my daily quest. Looks like you are getting pounded with rain again. Please don't float away!!
I'm fighting a cold that has become bronchitis. Can't seem to kick this cough. We might have some real snow coming on Wednesday, courtesy of weather from the Pacific Northwest. We need it!! But not sure I am ready for the cold, cold weather!
I feel pretty dull. Can't think. Oh I know, I was wondering if you watched the Dems on MSNBC? I thought it was really good and showed The differences in the candidates while looking at real issues. Do you think O'Malley would be a good VP??
Well hope all is well. We need a blog crier! You know 8pm and all is well!!!
When I spoke to AgyJane Sunday night, she was over the moon anticipating Curt’s return home Monday, a day earlier than originally predicted. I didn’t hear from her yesterday but I imagine it was all-consuming to reunite with him following his long absence, and get him settled in for the next phase of healing. Let’s hear it for white light!!!
Wow Candy, your Daisy-girl has a future as an editor? Or a great communicator at very least……”Turn off that damn machine and let us go explore the world!” Sorry to read about your brush with bronchitis, apologies from the left coast, we have had some wet blustery weather here but I didn’t realize it had migrated on over to create issues for you! Hope you are feeling better? :-}
What a mental picture Deni – battle with vacuum. I am not so creative with that aspect of house-cleaning but I have a totally adversarial relationship with my garden hoses which feels like battle. My hoses are possessed. Re your quest for simplicity, sign me up!
So, are we all preparing to pop corn and settle in for the whiner’s on parade tonight? Did everyone watch SNL (starring the head-whiner/front-limper) last weekend? I was just delighted to see the show lead off with a Rachel parody. I have a pipe dream: Rachel moderating the Re-puglicans….wouldn’t THAT be delicious?!?!
Wishing y’all a day filled with good health and simple pleasures.
I just lost my whole post. I hit the wrong key on my keyboard and it's all gone. I can't do it again. I can't. Maybe in a bit. Hell. I'll give it a whirl.
Candy, this is not good about the bronchitis. Man each of us has got something or other goin' on. The FABS are down!!! The FABS are down!!! Let us take a moment to lie upon our couches amid blanket mountain, inhaling tureens of leek soup smooth as velvet and sucking upon dark, decadent truffles of chocolate as the summer fades. As the rain pours. As the leaves fall. As it all. goes. to shit. We shall sip our cocoa.
Man I missed SNL and so I missed the Rachel skit! I have thought how great it would be if she were to moderate an R debate. To watch the debate or not to watch... hmmmm Will I be entertained? Or suicidal? Will there be chocolate?!
Ahhhh the ever-elusive simplicity. I found it, then I left it outside and it got rained on. What can I say? shit happens.
Checking to see if I have popcorn, Floatin'Phalanges
Just talked to AgyJane, Curt is home and adjusting beautifully, AJ is one happy FAB. They shared pizza for dinner, which is a REALLY big effin deal.
I note that it is snowing in Colorado - because I LOATHE the white stuff, I will offer condolences. However, in the event that someone actually enjoys this inconvenient weather phenomena, go have some fun!!
Me. the gorilla and the whole f.......zoo send love and light to the FABS for helping us to get through this horrible time. Even the docs say it is close to a miracle that he made it through...he lost over 100 lbs. He is loving being home with us and in his own bed!!! Home Health is coming every day to check his wounds and bag and make sure he is alright and cared for in his new reality. We love and depend on all of the FABS for helping us through this trauma.
Now how is Candy's bronchitis doing? More light Aziz!
My computer is not working right. For the last 3 days we've been screwing with it. The wireless connection keeps cutting out. Mike got it working this morning, so here I be. He got it working yesterday before he left for work. But by the time I got to it, it stopped working. I wonder if it's AT&T. Since they bought Direct TV, all our stuff is now on AT&T. The TV has been screwing up since the changeover and now the computer! But our router is pretty old, so we're try installing a new one today and see if that fixes it. Fingers crossed that's it's the router. Cause if it's AT&T, I don't how to fix that! Actually I don't know how to fix the router either. But at least that's theoretically within our control.
Big hugs to the FABS and a shout out to the gorilla at home and happy.
Light to Candy and Dances with Leaves for their little throats and chests!
Cackleberry Farm is the new No Snow zone.
Oh snow, I hate you so You suck Get fucked Cluckity Cluck Cluck ~ The Hens of Cackleberry Farm
So good to hear that Curt is home and the zoo is once more complete!! I'm glad the home health care folks will be coming everyday to keep things on track. I know Agy and the family must be in seventh heaven. Keep on healing!!!!
I went through the computer wars late last year; so frustrating, especially when the solutions are usually not obvious. I ended up with a new router/ modem because Comcast wasn't supporting the old one anymore. Good to see you Deni.
We did get snow last week and at first Daisy barked at it; now she thinks it the next best thing to leaves! But both-oh that's the best!! Walking her in the cold morning air, not so great, but she is totally worth it.
Haven't been able to do anything cause this cough is so bad. I'm still really sick and am on antibiotics. Never had it last this long. So glad I have my little gold girl for company. One of my bridge friends brought tea, honey and fresh fruit yesterday and took Daisy for a walk. Agy is right people can be so kind.
How is the Cackleberry crew?? Send all your snow our way, Sherry. We need it. I heard you all have had a good old fashioned Oregon drenching recently, which seems seasonally right.
I took Daisy to the little neighborhood park earlier today and what I heard there was funny and illuminating. We had made it around the park and were headed home when I heard a kid yelling from the playground. He kept yelling the same thing, just got louder and more insistent each time. So I stopped and looked for him; he clearly wanted attention from his parents or siblings. He looked to be about 2-3. I instantly thought, OMG, it starts that young and then they turn into Repugs. If people don't pay attention or believe you just say it louder, more often and with such ferocity that no opposition is brooked!! Amazing! Do you think we will ever learn to really listen?? He was still yelling as we left the park-lol. Maybe Trump didn't get enough attention from his parents!!!
Anyway, ya'll, take care of yourselves! So lucky to have the FABS in my life!!
Good to see your posts, every one of them. Sorry the bug got you Candy, hope you keep feeling better. SO demoralizing when we have to resort to antibiotics! And I totally agree about the effect our furbabies have on the healing process.
Oh Deni, LOVE your pome. (pome is a "godmother-ism") It captures the inner-workings of my snow attitude with such depth and passion. Only you.
AgyJane, it is great to have you all happied up and back with your sister-bloggers. We knew your song and sang it for you when things got dark.
Did everyone watch the Dem debate? O'Malley certainly had the best one-liner of the evening, I do love the creative and colorful references to the disgusting demented GOP front-runner. Gotta laugh to keep from - what- gagging? Vomiting? Curling up in the fetal position with a pillow over your head? Sure were a lot of good ideas for rescuing America issued from that stage. I worry and wonder how the terrible tragedy in Paris will influence the left. Fear is the tool of the right, and they know how to use it.
It is indeed soggy and grey on the right coast. I am so grateful that our precipitation is in liquid form that I am determined not to bitch about the mud, or the chill, or the wind, or needing an umbrella to go out and tend my flock. And when I watch the extremes in other areas, it puts things in perspective and ramps up that aforementioned gratitude.
Hope everyone is doing well. I'm still fighting the bug, but on the mend. Matt is coming from Oregon for Thanksgiving. It's been several years since we were all together for this holiday.
So glad Curt is up and about a bit, being home is the best medicine! Getting a bunch of snow on Thursday and pretty chilly-25 or so. Daisy seems to like winter just fine, not so much for me, walking her at 7AM-burrrrr!
My computer crashed and I just got it back from the shop. I missed checking in with y'all. I got a phone call from Deni during my "outage" and her machine was malfunctioning also. We decided we should direct some white light at our (expletive deleted) electronics.
We are dropping below zero here in Oregon too, Candy, although the thermometer rises during the day. Mercifully we have been spared the wretched white stuff in the Willamette Valley so far. I must confess that a 7 a.m. walk sounds like torture, snow or no snow.
Happy safe and peaceful Thanksgiving wishes right back atcha.
I am back online! The pute just would not stay online & then it wouldn't go online at all. Mike screwed with it, spent waaay too much time talking to Att&t, bought new equipment, all to no avail. Something's funky with the wireless connection. But the pute works when plugged directly into the connection in the tv room. So Mike bought a cable cord and ran it from the pute to the tv room. Very attractive! And I have yet to trip on it. Be there's plenty of time for that. I finally have the pute up and running.
Now I have to clean the house for Thanksgiving. We're brining a turkey. First time for that. My brother's coming over to stuff face with us. So that'll be fun.
So glad to see you got your pute back Sherry! We're back baby! How is your neck doing? In all the conversation the other night, I forgot to ask. A tear for the liddle grey cells. Zero degrees! OMG! It's almost 70 today, balmy doncha know. I'll send some of the balmy to Oregon and Colorado.
Candy, how is the bronchitis? I have a mental image of you and dances with snow walking out in the morning cold, coughing together. You're already sympathetically bound.
Agy and her gorilla must be havin' a great time, feelin' aliiiiive! Wishes and much laughter.
Good to see the FABS all back after putters acting badly and hoping all faces are well stuffed with bread up a bird's butt. We did it twice...once with friends at the Maxwell's and Gorilla cooked puppy Thanksgiving on Friday. Since they are working dogs, they all have become "pot lickers". They ate til they couldn't move and gorilla made his famous "gruel" with the turkey butt that they will enjoy for weeks to come!
Hoping our Sweet Betsy is finally feeling better and bronchitis is just a memory. Happy to report that my gorilla is feeling great and we are dancing with glee and stepping on no toes. Thanks for all the good wishes and white light you sent!!!!!
Wishing the bestest week-end after the Thankful day to the bestest FABS ever.
There are posts up for Dec. I just posted under "Daisy in the morning sun". There's a cool post Candy put up about Transit Maps. I haven't posted in that one yet. Here is the url (should you be so inclined):

Agy called with an update. Curt had surgery this morning, 3hours. Took part of his stomach and intestines and most of his colon.
He is in isolation because of fear of infection. Agy talked to him later in the day, lots of pain, but hanging in there. They still think

+~~ to all

Me. the gorilla and the whole f.......zoo send love and light to the FABS for helping us to get through this horrible time.
Agy Jane and the zoo plus a happy gorilla
Effin' Fabulous FABS,
Yay! FABS on the mend!

Hi all,
So good to hear that Curt is home and the zoo is once more complete!! I'm glad the home health care folks will be coming everyday
to keep things on track.
Walking
her in the cold morning air, not so great, but she is totally worth it.
Haven't been able to do anything cause this cough is so bad. I'm still really sick and am on antibiotics. Never had it last this long.
So glad I have my little gold girl for company. One of my bridge friends brought tea, honey and fresh fruit yesterday and took Daisy for
a walk. Agy is right people can be so kind.
How is the Cackleberry crew?? Send all your snow our way, Sherry. We need it. I heard you all have had a good old fashioned Oregon
drenching recently, which seems seasonally right.
If people don't pay attention or believe you just say it louder,
more often and with such ferocity that no opposition is brooked!! Amazing! Do you think we will ever learn to really listen?? He was still yelling as we left the park-lol. Maybe Trump didn't get enough attention from his parents!!!
Anyway, ya'll, take care of yourselves! So lucky to have the FABS in my life!!
Peas and gravy,
Candy
Hi y'all
Good to see your posts, every one of them.
Wishes for a peaceful relaxing Sunday.

Hi all,
Hope everyone is doing well. I'm still fighting the bug, but on the mend. Matt is coming from Oregon for Thanksgiving. It's been several years since we were all
together for this holiday.
So glad Curt is up and about a bit, being home is the best medicine! Getting a bunch of snow on Thursday and pretty chilly-25 or so. Daisy seems to like winter just fine,
not so much for me, walking her at 7AM-burrrrr!
Happy Thanksgiving to you all.
Hugs,
Candy
Hey FABS

Fabaristas!
Happy Thanksgiving eve to effin' fabulous fabs,
Phalanges Forever
Agydancin
You AgyRose!
There are posts up for Dec. I just posted under "Daisy in the morning sun". There's a cool post Candy put up about Transit Maps. I haven't posted in that one yet. Here is the url (should you be so inclined):
