I was always amazed at how many great talents originate from Texas. And from the bowels of seriously rigid thinking towns, no less. It seems to me that from the most restrictive backward times and places arise blazing beauty and brilliance. I'm holding this in my heart for 2017. From the smoldering ruins of our Democracy, the Dragon, she shall rise.
